On July 4th, 1776, the United States of America declared independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain (now officially known as Great Britain).
By July 4th, 2015, the United States of America will likely declare independence from foreign oil. In fact, some believe that the USA will be a net exporter of oil. What does this really mean?
What does this mean for the US? What does it mean to its neighbour to the north who has been selling oil to the States for decades? What does it mean to the rest of the world and international economies that rely on exporting oil to America?
We have no clue!
Here at 2P News, we celebrated Canada’s 147th birthday a few days ago, and we now want to celebrate Independence Day with our brethren to the south. Just please don’t become too independent from our oil, because if you’re not buying it, who will?
Happy celebration’ and keep on drillin’!
Cheers,
